Why Choose Deeper, Focused Massage?
Firm Pressure
For clients who prefer stronger pressure, select a therapist who offers the pressure level you’re looking for.
Focused Work
More time can be spent on specific areas of tension or discomfort while still customizing the rest of your massage around your goals.
Customized Throughout
Pressure isn’t all-or-nothing. Your therapist can adjust throughout the massage based on the area being worked and your comfort.
No Separate Upcharge
Deeper pressure isn’t an enhancement at Tacora. Simply choose your massage length and an appropriate therapist.
What to Expect With Deeper Work
Communication
Tell your therapist what you’re experiencing, where you’d like focused work, and what level of pressure you prefer.
Customized Pressure
Your therapist will adjust techniques and pressure based on your goals, the areas being addressed, and how your body responds.
Your Comfort Matters

Deep Tissue Massage FAQs
Prefer firmer pressure or have an area that needs focused attention? Here are answers to some common questions about deeper massage work.
Do I need to book a separate Deep Tissue Massage?
No. Tacora doesn’t charge separately for deeper pressure. Choose your preferred massage length and select a therapist whose pressure range and approach match what you’re looking for.
Is deep tissue massage supposed to hurt?
Deeper work can feel intense at times, but more pain doesn’t mean a better massage. Communicate with your therapist throughout your session so the pressure can be adjusted to a level that feels productive and comfortable.
How do I choose a therapist who offers firm or deep pressure?
Our therapist profiles include information about pressure preferences and specialties to help you find a good match. If you’re unsure who to choose, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Is a longer massage better for focused or deeper work?
It can be. A longer appointment gives your therapist more time to address specific areas without sacrificing as much time elsewhere. If you have several areas you’d like addressed or want both focused work and a full-body massage, consider a 90- or 120-minute session.
What's the difference between firm pressure and deep tissue massage?
Firm pressure describes how much pressure is being used, while deeper or focused work can involve different techniques intended to address specific areas. Your therapist can combine pressure and techniques based on your goals rather than treating “deep tissue” as one standardized massage.
